relaxing!

ROBERTO

happy 40th Rob!

olivefest

a great day yesterday- all the olives have been totally massacred (sp.?!)- but we have been reassured that in a year or two they will be looking good again!
lots of food and plenty of 'vitamina' ensured the party went on well into the night!

before and after

the photo at the top was taken before we moved here- brambles an all!

we have started the olive pruning- it looks like total devastation!!

all for the best interests of the olive trees which need alot of attention, and it will take a year or two until we get a harvest again.

down on the farm

Lots going on in the tunnel and vegie garden.

The house progress has slowed a bit- they are currently working on the stone wall on the back (or is it the front?!) of the house. It is looking amazing!

We are working on our other plot, so we can get it cleared and back on the market. Paul's new trailer meant he could get the tractor over there which made the job a bit quicker!
Pip and Clover relaxing after the day's excitement!

april fools

No- we're not kidding it's 29degrees! Unfortunately the high temperatures have triggered off a few big forest fires already.
.

(thank goodness we live near the fire station!)

Anyway, lots of flowers are out already, including iris, roses and tulips; hostas, rhubarb and gunneras are up, and as I was watering the greenhouse I noticed we have a lodger- he's a lizard and I've named him Eddie (Paul says thats totally unoriginal but I thought it was funny).

The builders have been working on the granite wall on the back of the house. It's the old stone from the ruin which was here originally so it's nice to have that bit of character back.
